Little Drage

We are so excited to be having our first baby! We found out today that it is going to be.........(drum roll)......... A BOY!! Andrew is absolutely ecstatic as am I! God definitely knows what he is doing because I don't think Andrew could handle another female living with him right now. It was amazing to see how much the baby has grown and developed. We saw the spine, all four chambers of the heart, and the tiniest little facial features. He is a very mobile little guy! I feel him move constantly and during the ultrasound he would not hold still. He's already just like his parents.

We are due August 4th and haven't bought one baby item yet. We gotta get moving! Our top names are Brixton, Carson, and Ethan (curious to know your thoughts).

Here are the first pics of our boy!

The Graduate

CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATE! Andrew graduated with a Masters Degree in May. Yes, I know it is the middle of August but it's been very crazy for us with work and church camps. Andrew and I were both very ready to have him graduate and it is great to relax and cuddle instead of having him study for a test. I do have to brag a little and tell everyone that Andrew graduated with a 3.98 GPA!! Way to go Babe!

I wanna hold ZOEY!

All of my nieces and nephews love our little Zobo! They are very sweet to her and I have to say that for a little dog, she does really well. My adorable niece Avery, has a particular love for Zoey. Wait, did I say love? I meant obsession! Everytime she is with me she absolutely MUST be holding Zoey. It's so cute, but she is only 3 and still trying to learn what it means to be "soft". I'm actually quite amazed Zoey is still alive today! One day Avery wanted to let Zoey play with her dog Max. Avery walked outside to the deck and prepared to throw Zoey to Max who was at least 10 feet below. Luckily, my sister Lindsey was able to catch Avery and Zoey before her fatal throw. Avery will push Zoey around in her stroller, take her for walks, hide with her in the closet and even put Zoey in baby Tyler's swing and saucer. I think after Avery, Zoey will be able to withstand anything that comes her way. Love you Aves!

Flashback!

This is my love! I wanted to throw in a few old pictures of him. The first is him gazing at his gorgeous wife after we got married (I can't believe it's been almost 2 years)! Then we have the airport when Matt came home from his mission. Andrew's leather jacket just kills me! He's so cute. Then Andrew's awesome family. Who do you think he looks like???? And last Andrew getting set apart before leaving for London for 2 years. I hope you are all chuckling at his haircut! Thank goodness we have Lexi to take care of him now! Andrew really is like wine, he just gets better and better with age! Love you Babe!!!

Brian Johnson Touched My Leg!

Look who we sat next to at the Jazz game!!!! We are so happy when Andrew's company lets us use their Jazz tickets! We love watching D Will, Korver, Millsap, and the whole team! At this particular game they had the entire University of Utah football team there to honor their undefeated season. We were a little surprised when we found ourselves sitting with Brian Johnson. As you can tell from my smile in the picture with my eyes disappearing, I was really excited. And yes, looking at my zoomed in picture, Brain Johnson touched my leg!

TWILIGHT and Macey!!!

Twilight
I've seen the movie Twilight now 2 times! Yes I know, but let me explain. I have read and loved all the books. I am an extremely visual person so of course I had a very clear picture of exactly how everything looked and everyone acted in my head. So naturally, the first time I saw it I liked it but was very disappointed because it wasn't just the way I had pictured it. After I went home and digested all of it my girlfriends asked me to go see it with them again. I REALLY liked it the second time. I looked at it more as a great story than "WAIT! That's not how Bella would say that." And actually, I think that Robert Patterson does a really good job at playing the impossible role of Edward. The poor guy was almost set up to fail but I really liked him. So for all of you Twilight fans, go see it twice. It's MUCH better the second time!

MACEY!
Those of you who know me know that I had a golden retriever named Annie for 14 years. She was a huge part of our family. Well, Annie died of cancer almost 2 years ago and I still miss her. Annie had 4 litters of puppies and my brother Chris took one of her puppies and named her Macey. Now, my brother Josh has one of Macey's puppies named Bailey. 3 lines of an amazing dog. Unfortunately, yesterday Macey died of cancer. We all loved Macey because she was a great dog and a piece of our Annie. My niece Ellie (5th grade) wrote the most heart touching poem about Macey that you simply have to read. Their family link is on our list under Chris and Lisa Giauque (jukebox6.blogspot.com). I cried when I read her poem and laughed too. Goodbye sweet Macey, I'm sure that you and Annie are running together in that big field in the sky!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZOEY!!!

November 5! Today is Zoey's birthday! She is our Shorkie (Yorki Shitzu) and today she turned one! Now, some of you may think I'm weird for recognizing the birth of a dog but those of you who are dog lovers completely understand. We actually got Zoey in January, 2008. We had been looking for a shorkie for over a year and finally found a breeder listed on KSL. We drove down to Pleasant Grove to look at the litter, but as soon as Zoey came tearing around the corner I knew I wasn't leaving without her. We named her Zoey because of a compromise. I wanted Sophie and Andrew wanted Zelph (those of you who know Mormon history will understand that one). We put the two names together and came up with Zoey!! She has been so much fun these past ten months. She is Andrew's baby and he often says "I never knew I could like a dog so much"! We can't get enough of her cuddles, kisses, and crazy circles she runs around! We love you Zobo!!!
Zoey would like to give a shout out to her best friends Khloe, Bailey, Addie, Macey, Gizmo, and Max!

TAGGED!

So Sara tagged me and how can I deny the cousin. Here are the rules; 1. You have to write 6 interesting things about yourself. 2. You have to tag 3 other people and let them know you tagged them. Then they must do the same.

1. One day when I was in the 2nd grade I really didn't want to go to school. I was late and my mom dropped me off and drove away. I decided I would hide in the bushes because I really didn't want to go in. I spent a good couple of hours out in that bush playing and building a beautiful dirt city for the potato bugs. Eventually some woman found me in there and the office called my mom. After that, my mom would watch me go in the front doors to make sure.

2. I spent 2004-2005 living on a Holland America Cruise ship. I was a singer in their shows and I traveled all over the world. I spent half the time in Europe and the other half in the Caribbean. Fortunately, I only got sea sick 1 time! My parents came and visited me 3 times and 22 of my family members came once in February.

3. Most of you who know me know that I love to sing, dance, and act! All my free time growing up was devoted to shows and films. What most of you might not know is that I was absolutely horrible when I first started and worked really hard to gain what I have. Also, my favorite place to sing is in church! You can't beat that feeling!

4. I have to put my husband's favorite on; I graduated in 2004 from the U with a 3.98 GPA in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics.

5. The two most important men in my life are my amazing husband Andrew Drage and my dad Kent Giauque. Andrew has taught me the importance of dedication and ambition. He has also shown me how to let the little things go, start the dishwasher, and of course LOVE! My dad is quite possibly the perfect example of generosity, honesty, and unconditional love.

6. I love movies, eating out, exercising, being with friends, playing with my nieces and nephews, traveling, my family, my dog Zoey, and my hottie husband!

I tag Ledah, Tonya, and Angie.

Swimming Lessons!

Ok, so I know that everyone thinks their nieces and nephews are the cutest, but seriously mine take the cake! I went to their swimming lessons a few times this summer and they are all great little swimmers. Andrew raced Alli and Ellie in our pool with the free style and the backstroke and they both beat him! So here are some pictures of Bridger and Luke during their lesson. Nothing cuter than a little boy in goggles! Bridger was the teachers little star. She would use him to show all the other kids how it was done. Andrew and I really hope we get a Bridger one day. Luke kills me. I love that kid. Just look at that goggles picture and it really says it all! Tessa and Avery aren't old enough for lessons yet but they enjoyed my sunglasses in the mean time. Avery is the 2 year old and she just cracks me up. She is so full of spunk and life. She will grow up to have miles of ambition and independence. Tessa is 1 and seriously, I have never seen a more beautiful baby girl in my life. I know some of you think I'm crazy but I love all my nieces and nephews as if they were my own. They really make you love being alive!

Pioneer Trek

Holy cow! I'm so sorry that it has taken us 5 months to do a new post. We suck but we're going to binge and do two posts tonight! The first is Pioneer Trek. Andrew and I were unsure about this calling. I have been before and it was a boot camp. I was miserable and starved to death. This trek was a whole different experience. We were a Ma and Pa and loved our kids. We clicked with our family and would even play night games with them. We laughed a lot and completely enjoyed ourselves. This trek focused a lot more on the spiritual aspect then working you to your death. The women's pull was a piece of cake! The food was excellent (chocolate chip pancakes, Navajo tacos, pineapple upside down cake). We ate better there than at home. The trek was at Martin's Cove. This place is filled with the spirit. If you don't know much about what happened there I urge you to learn about it. The stories of dedication, perseverance, sacrifice, and faith are so inspiring. When we did the Sweetwater crossing (representing the men who carried everyone across the frozen river) Andrew "fell" in! It was really hot and the swim was well worth it. The only down side to the whole trip was the 6 hour bus ride. We couldn't get over how awesome our kids were. It gave me a lot of hope for the future to see how great our youth is. Well, Pioneer Trek turned out to be an experience that we truly loved and wouldn't mind doing again!

EUROPE!

The one thing Andrew and I wanted to do before we had kids (no this is not an announcement) was backpack through Europe. We went with my brother Josh and his wife Kathy and had an amazing time! We visited London, Venice, Rome, Paris, Milan, Monte Carlo, and Cinque Terre. We were gone for two weeks and visited 6 different cities and 4 different countries. We had 9 different airplane rides, 5 different car rentals, 5 different hotels, and one night of sleep in a tiny Ford Fiesta (well, if you can call that sleep). The places we visited were amazing! My favorite was Cinque Terre and Monte Carlo. Andrew's favorite was London (that's where he served his mission). We only have half of our pictures for now but we'll put the rest up later once we get the rest of our pictures from Kathy (Andrew forgot to pack the camera charger). These pictures are of London, Venice, Rome, and Paris!!! I think the best part of our trip was being able to spend two weeks non-stop together with no cell phones, computers, jobs, or interruptions!! In London we visited The Tower of London, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Abbey road, Piccadilly, and dinner with the Burns family in Banstead (John Burns joined the church while Andrew was serving there). Dinner at the Burns was by far the most wonderful thing we did. This beautiful family is doing so much to serve the church and it was an honor to see such a strong family. I loved seeing the rewards of Andrew's service. In Venice we backpacked through the entire city and ate lots of pizza (I haven't wanted it since we got back). We went to San Marco Square too. In Rome we spent a day at the Coliseum and all the ruins that are there. The next day we went to Vatican City, St. Peter's Cathedral, the Sistine Chapel, and the Pantheon. In Paris we went to Notre Dame (Gorgeous!), the Eiffel Tower, the Arc De Triumph, and the Louvre. In Milan we shopped and went to the famous church that I can't remember the name of! In Monte Carlo we went to the beach!! We toured the city and stopped at the palace and casino. We saw luxury cars everywhere we went, Ferrari's, Lamborghini, Alfa Romero's and Bentley's. Even the taxis were beautiful Mercedes. Cinque Terre is made up of 5 cities that are on the coast of Italy in the mountains located in a national park. You have to hike to these 5 cities through grape vineyards, and olive trees. Meanwhile you look out and see the gorgeous Mediterranean below. The hike is about 9 miles up and down hill. It was a great workout!!! ENJOY!!
ENJOY!
